One good habit of doing pranayama has changed my life, I never have imagined.  Two years ago when I fell into a disease, I tried lots of things like medicines, exercises, eating the right food, Ayurveda and herbs etc.  All these things definitely helped me but whole credit goes to Pranayama because 99% of benefits come through it.

In ancients times people may not require all these techniques. Those times, not so much stress and pollution were there.  But as of now keeping ourselves healthy is quite a difficult job. So we must consider these simple yet powerful techniques.

Prana means energy or breath and aayam means control. So controlling your breath in certain ways is called Pranayama. There are many types of pranayama and all of them only focus on breathing.

Oxygen is the most important thing required for living as compared to food and water. We can survive without food and water for some days but we cannot live without oxygen for a few minutes only.

Our modern world is becoming more hectic, more technology friendly, full of stress and pollution these days. These all things are not ideal for us human beings to live longer and disease free life. More people are becoming sick, stressed or unhappy these days as compared to the thousands of years of history of mankind.

The progress of medical science is great but still, it does not lead to a healthy human population. Diseases are increasing day by day which is not so common in ancient’s days.
